If you are familiar with our old Fire Research Institute web site, the first thing you will notice that is new is that we have changed our name slightly to emphasize that we do not cover structural fires, as important as this subject is. If you are familiar with our old site, you know that it was a place to go to find and download publications on wildland fire and to find researchers working in your field. Through internet trickery, you will actually be transferred to the old site if you’re just looking for publications or colleagues. But we invite you to view (and contribute!) our world-wide photo collection, section for curious young people, a section on fire safety, and a bookstore. We also hope that you will choose to support our efforts by contributing publications or making a tax-deductible (in the US) donation. We especially hope to interest you in two new partnerships with Amazon and EndNote.
