JASON GREENLEE

CEO & Chief Financial Officer

Jason Greenlee attended Berkeley’s forestry school, graduating in 1973. He received a Ph.D. in Biology from the University of California, Santa Cruz, in 1983, and began a series of jobs with the California Department of Parks and Recreation, University of California, and various federal fire agencies. In the early 90’s Jason and his wife Maria joined with personnel from the U. S. Forest Service to form the International Association of Wildland Fire. As part of that new organization, Jason and Maria founded Wildfire magazine and the International Journal of Wildland Fire. Jason left the Association in 1999 to become a smokejumper, first at Redding, California, and then Missoula, Montana. Retiring in 2011 to San Antonio, Texas, Jason is pursuing his love of books and publications in wildland fire. If you ever visit San Antonio, contact us and we’ll set you up in one of our AirBnBs!
